Rose + Rye, located in the “Castle” mansion in Midtown, is in the midst of change, including staff changes. Among recent departures from the restaurant was that of its executive chef, Lindsay Owens. However, Owens was not gone long from the Atlanta dining scene. She has since taken a position as executive chef at Joy Café, located at 1100 Peachtree Street in Midtown.

According to Joy Café co-owners Jon and Joy Beber, Owens’ primary responsibility at the restaurant will be to develop the menu for and manage its recently launched dinner service. The menu is a seasonal carte that highlights products grown and raised in Georgia.

A native of Austin, Texas, Owens holds nearly 14 years of culinary experience. Prior to her stint at Rose & Rye, she helmed the kitchen at Seward Coop Creamery Café in Minneapolis, Minn.
