Friday, April 20: South City Kitchen Buckhead will host Whiskey and Vine, an event featuring a first taste of the restaurant’s exclusive new Berkshire Mountain bourbon plus Southern fare such as roasted whole hog, salads and sides. Master distiller Chris Weld of Berkshire Mountain Distillers and winemaker Jason Haas of Tablas Creek will also be on-site to chat about their collaborative bourbon creation and their craft, as well as Fifth Group director of food and beverage standards Vajra Stratigos. Sunday, April 22: Second Self Beer Company will host a two-hour, hands-on beginning sushi class at 3 p.m. Participants will learn how to make perfect sushi rice, their favorite sushi sauces, how to safely serve raw fish at home and more thanks to Birmingham Sushi Class.
