If you’re a beer fan, you’d do well to find yourself at the 14th Annual Cask Ale Tasting, which moves this year from 5 Seasons Brewing at the Prado to the brewpub’s Westside location. A ticket will get you samples of more than 40 rare, cask-conditioned ales from the U.S. and U.K., as well as a Monday Night Brewing souvenir glass. Food will also be available for purchase.

Take a culinary trip to Spain
Basque-inspired tapas spot Cooks & Soldiers will host its third annual Tamborrada event — a nod to the yearly celebration held in San Sebastian, Spain — featuring traditional food, drink and entertainment. Look for dishes including pintxos, cheese and charcuterie and seafood, plus a churro and brandy toast, and unlimited txakoli, beer, cider, gin and tonics and specialty cocktails with a VIP ticket. Have a Food Network-style evening
If you love watching food reality shows, Almost Chopped — a nod to the Food Network show “Chopped” — should be on your calendar. Four teams of two home chefs each will use mystery ingredients to prepare dishes for local chef judges including Pano Karatassos of Kyma and Suzanne Vizethann of Buttermilk Kitchen. Tickets include appetizers from High Roller Sushi, wine, beverages and desserts from Seasons 52, as well as the competition. Proceeds go to benefit Hadassah’s neurological research.
