Indian, Cuban will be among new dining options for Peachtree Center’s The Hub

A downtown Atlanta development is getting a makeover, and with it five new spots to grab a bite.

The Hub — the retail center that will be part of the remodeled Peachtree Center — will see the restaurants open on a rolling schedule beginning later this year and into early 2018.

The new restaurants will include:

Made-to-order salad chain Salata, which has a location in Atlantic Station and is set to open a second in Sandy Springs next week

–Minneapolis-based Bep Eatery, a Vietnamese concept that will open its first Atlanta location with customizable street foods such as bahn mi, vermicelli and pho, bao buns and Vietnamese coffee

–Beni’s Cubano, from the team behind Tin Lizzy’s Cantina (which also has a Peachtree Center location), which will offer Cuban sandwiches, vaca frita, mojo grilled chicken, rice, beans and plantains, yucca fries, empanadas and maduros as well as Cuban cocktails and coffee, with a menu similar to its existing East Cobb location

–Taste of India, from the team behind Paradise Biryani in Alpharetta and at Emory Pointe, will offer north and south Indian cuisine

–Southern Candy Company, which has served as a pop-up in Peachtree Center, will get a permanent location after 20 years and will offer treats including pralines, chocolate-covered pretzels, fudge and caramel turtles.

All five new restaurants will open on the Gallery Level of The Hub, located directly under the courtyard and at the center of the renovation project, joining existing dining concepts Aviva By Kameel, Panbury’s, Chick-fil-A and Yami Yami.
