There’s good news and bad news for coffee lovers who got used to getting their fix at Shops Buckhead Atlanta.
But the space won’t be caffeine free for long — Birmingham, Ala.-based Revelator Coffee plans to open a new concept, The Mourning Dove, by the end of the year.
Andrea Kirshtein, who previously served as a pastry chef at Empire State South, will serve as a managing partner.
Revelator president Josh Owen told Eater that Mourning Dove will have a coffee program similar to other Revelator locations, with alcohol and food also being offered.
Revelator, which announced earlier this year that it was purchasing the Atlanta-based group of Octane coffee shops, also has cafes in Atlanta at 691 14th St. and 848 Spring St. NW. Its coffee is also served at West Elm inside Ponce City Market and a Revelator Coffee bar will be part of the new Whole Foods opening in Chamblee this month.
Revelator also has locations in Birmingham, New Orleans, Nashville, Chattanooga and Charleston.
