Taqueria del Sol opens Wednesday at Peachtree Station in Chamblee

A new Taqueria del Sol will open tomorrow in Chamblee. 

The latest Taqueria del Sol spot is located in Peachtree Station, the multi-use development at 5001 Peachtree Boulevard.

Taqueria del Sol will join Whole Foods Market, Chipotle and Zoe’s Kitchen as eating options in the new strip mall, which will also be home to another Cook’s Warehouse.

The Chamblee location marks the fifth for the Atlanta-based restaurant chain that first opened in 2001. Owners Mike Klank and Eddie Hernandez, who received a James Beard Foundation nod this year with a nomination for Outstanding Restaurateur, are continuing the expansion of the brand with another location on Memorial Drive, expected to open in 2018.

This week the restaurant is open with limited hours, serving lunch between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. On Saturday, the restaurant will offer lunch from noon to 3 p.m. It will open for full lunch and dinner service beginning next Monday.
