Another restaurant has been added to the roster of eateries coming to The Battery, the entertainment development opening adjacent to the Braves’ SunTrust Field in 2017.

FEED – Fried Chicken & Such will open in March 2017, a month before the Braves’ first home game.

The restaurant, helmed by Chef Marc Taft of Chicken and the Egg in Marietta, will offer a menu featuring buckets of chicken, fried chicken tenders, Nashville hot chicken, catfish, country fried steak, meatloaf, macaroni and cheese and other Southern staples, as well as healthier options including grilled chicken and salads. Desserts will include soft serve ice cream, milk shakes, pies and baked goods, and the restaurant will have a full bar (customers will be allowed to take beverages outside of the restaurant).

FEED will offer counter service on game days, as well as sit-down lunch and dinner the rest of the year. The 3,000-square-foot space designed by Jay George is meant to “evoke memories of the rural roadside eateries Taft ate at when traveling between Alabama and East Tennessee as a kid to see his grandmother,” according to a press release.

The spot will join several other announced restaurants at The Battery, including an Antico Pizza, Ford Fry’s Superica ans Tomahawk Tap Room from the team behind Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q.
