If dog is purportedly man’s (and woman’s!) best friend, why would you want to leave your four-legged bud at home on the weekend while you chow down on waffles and chug Bloody Mary’s?
Now you don’t have to. City Winery, the winery/music venue/restaurant/bar/private events space at Ponce City Market, has started serving brunch for both humans and canines from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The menu for guests of the two-legged variety includes shrimp and grits, buttermilk fried chicken, breakfast burritos and omelets, and drinks including the CW Bloody Mary, which comes with a skewered shrimp cocktail, bacon and smoked vegetable Bloody Mary mix.
The “Canine Cuisine” menu highlights pet-friendly brunch items such as “Pooched Eggs,” “Bow Wow Chicken” and a “Hot Diggity Dog.”
City Winery’s patio will stay open for brunch through the fall.
