trivet black

Whether you’re looking to support local food producers or give a gift that expresses your enthusiasm for Atlanta, these three products fit the bill.

Atlanta trivet

Show off your Atlanta pride with this trivet from Cook’s Warehouse. The 6-inch trivet features pen-and-ink-style illustrations of all your favorite places from Piedmont Park to the High Museum to the World of Coke – along with spots where you don’t want to be (like in a traffic jam on I-285 or stuck getting through security at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport) but that have put ATL on the national map. Available with white or black background. $18.99 Cook’s Warehouse, Merchant’s Walk Shopping Center 1311 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta, 770-565-8005; Ansley Mall, 1544 Piedmont Ave., Atlanta, 404-815-4993; 180 West Ponce de Leon Ave., Decatur, 404-377-4005, cookswarehouse.com.

Sea salt crackers

Our latest favorite nosh is made right here in Atlanta. Georgia Sourdough Co. sea salt crackers are light and airy, the sourdough tang noticeable without being overwhelming and the seasoning enough to keep us slipping our fingers back in the bag without suffering from chapped lips once we realized we’ve consumed the entire package. $8 per 7-ounce bag. Available at:

Lucy’s Market, 102 West Paces Ferry Road NW, Atlanta, lucysmarket.com

Tap on Ponce, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE, Atlanta

The Spotted Trotter, 1610 Hosea L Williams Dr. NE, Atlanta, thespottedtrotter.com
Simply Fresh, 255 Village Pkwy NE, Marietta. 770-952-9010, Facebook: Simply Fresh Market Cafe

Cranberry-port jelly

Some fruit spreads, like strawberry or peach jam, we can manage to make at home. But a flavor like cranberry-port? For that jelly, we’ll let Emily G’s do the work. The Dunwoody-based food company makes more than 18 different jams and jellies, but it’s the subtly spiced seasonal cranberry-port that’s calling our name. And pairing it with a cheese like Camembert or brie and some fancy water crackers is just about the easiest appetizer ever. $7.95 per 10-ounce jar, D’Vine Wine Bar, 5486 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Dunwoody, 770-350-9463, atlantawinebar.com.
