Diners in Texas are familiar with Black Walnut Cafe, a casual dining chain offering American fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Eaters in Alpharetta will be able to check out the Black Walnut menu on July 7, when the restaurant opens fifteenth location, and first eatery outside Texas, at 5805 Windward Parkway at the intersection of North Point Parkway.
Patrons will find classic American fare among morning, lunch and dinner items. Breakfast staples include customizable omelets, a variety of eggs Benedict options, breakfast burritos, pancakes and French toast treatments. Lunch and dinner choices include salads, burgers and sandwiches, pasta, meat and seafood entrees and more. Among sweet endings, a turtle cheesecake is one of Black Walnut’s signature desserts and it also makes a dozen flavors of gelato in house
The Alpharetta location will also have distinct menu items not available at its sister locations. These include pimento cheese deviled eggs, a pimento cheese burger, a shrimp and grit cake and a chicken and waffle sandwich.
Besides soft drinks from a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine and requisite beverages like coffee, tea and juice, the restaurant has a full-service bar, with local craft beer on draft, a cocktail list and a 25-bottle wine list.
The 6,300-square-foot space with a large, covered patio holds seating for 220 diners.
Black Walnut Cafe will be open daily. Operating from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. A breakfast/brunch menu is available until 4 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
