Twelve Eighty, the upscale dining restaurant (formerly known as Table Twelve Eighty) located at the Woodruff Arts Center, has a new look – and a new menu. The restaurant, in partnership with Sterling Spoon Culinary Management, which manages culinary operations at the cultural institution, recently underwent enhancements to its lounge area while also transitioning to a spring menu.

Interior design in the lounge include a change in fixtures, particularly furniture, that keep the space bright, airy and comfortable, while at the same time melding with the restaurant’s art-driven surroundings.

On the food side, executive chef John Metz and his culinary team have debuted a new menu. Highlights among recent additions include starters like ahi tuna poke with crispy wontons, a flatbread of the day and a trio of house-made dips served with crudites and grilled baguette. New salads offerings include a chopped spring salad plus a melon and grape salad tossed with arugula, cucumber, feta, mint and a honey lavender-white balsamic dressing. Among heftier fare, look for a Tuscan chicken stack (Think: caprese salad, but hot, and with a couple of chicken fillets), a Maine lobster roll, an open-faced bruschetta steak sandwich, a veggie burger and tacos sporting mahi mahi.

Twelve Eighty is open to the public as well as to Woodruff Arts Center patrons. Headed to a performance at the symphony or Alliance Theatre? The lounge shifts to a bar menu after 4 p.m., offering an abbreviated menu of quick bites –  along with a beverage list of beer, wine and cocktails – to get you in and out the door in time for the show.
