Avalon, the mixed-use development that opened in Alpharetta in October 2014, just announced a new slate of restaurants, bars and stores set to open in 2017.
The restaurants include:
- A beer garden from Hop City and The Spotted Trotter — The beer store, which has outposts at Krog Street Market and on the Westside, and the chacuterie, which also has a Krog Street Market location and a Kirkwood store, are teaming up to open an outdoor drinking area.
- Rumi’s Kitchen — The popular Persian restaurant in Sandy Springs will open an Avalon outpost.
- Brine Fish House — A local chef-driven concept by Marc Taft of Chicken and the Egg (which was recently picked by the AJC as one of the best OTP brunches, along with Avalon restaurant Oak Steakhouse) with a seafood-focused menu.
New retail will include The Boardroom Salon for Men, Lucky Brand, Brooks Brothers, Levi’s and Urban Outfitters. Phase II of construction will also include a hotel, conference center, office space and multifamily units.
There are also new restaurants and retail set to open this year as part of the development’s Phase I, including Farm to Ladle, which also has a Ponce City Market location and will open in June, and Cafe Intermezzo, which has locations in Dunwoody and Midtown Atlanta and will open in Avalon in November.
New retail to open this year includes AYA Med Spa, which opens today; Tesla, which opens this week; and Parisian Nail Salon, which will open in June.
Avalon saw its first restaurant closing late last yeat with the shuttering of Bantu, though Branch & Barrel quickly sprang up in its place.
